Skin Care Haul – Province Apothecary

I have been on the hunt for a new skin care provider for quite some time.  The challenge has been finding a line that is organic, all natural and made in Canada.

Province Apothecary fits that bill and takes it one step further by using ingredients that have been sourced from small Canadian farms and businesses.  Love that concept.

I stumbled upon Province Apothecary a couple of weeks ago and was instantly smitten with the concept of their products – handmade in Toronto by Julie Clark, with organic wildcrafted ingredients sourced from Canadian provinces – how cool is that?!

All of her products are made without: petroleum, parabens, synthetic fragrances and ingredients, endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, dyes, alcohol, solvents, pesticides, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), palm oil or derivatives, cosmetic grade ingredients and toxins of any kind.

Bonus – quite a few of her products can be made unscented if not already, which I discovered after a brief email exchange with Julie.

Wanting to be kept abreast of any news, I signed up for the newsletter and was super happy to get the latest email a few days later saying a new site went live.  And to celebrate they were offering a 20% discount.  Super bonus!!  I quickly set out to place my order, which finally arrived today!

Check out my skin care haul:

The products are not inexpensive and I have to admit being a little disappointed in the sizes (the perils of ordering online!); however, I suspect a little goes a long way.

Clearly passionate about what she does and the planet as evidenced by the support her company is offering to small Canadian farms and companies that share the same philosophy as Province Apothecary.  Plus a percentage of yearly sales is donated to the Canadian Organic Growers, Canadian Honey Council and 1% for the Planet.  How can you not feel good about supporting fellow Canadians, our planet and our dwindling bee population?

Oh and last, but certainly not least, you get free shipping for orders over $25.  Perfect for when you run out of something.

Be sure to check out Province Apothecary’s website for tips and additional products.

I can’t wait to crack into these beauties and will be sure to report back in 30 days or so on how the new regime is going.

Has anyone else given Province Apothecary a go?  Or do you have another favourite to share?!

xoxo

P.S. I gather proper protocol when doing a review (official or not) is to disclose whether you are making any money off the review.  This is my personal experience with Province Apothecary and I have not been compensated in any way, by any person, company or thing.
